An Office Assistant is required from September 2018 to work in the School front office. The role is full time term-time only but to include one additional week at the end of each term. The post holder will also be required to work 6 Saturdays per annum on a rota with other office staff.
As Office Assistant, the successful candidate will have joint responsibility as part of a team for the administrative tasks involved in running a very busy office environment.
Daily tasks include administering the registers, answering telephone calls, taking deliveries, franking post, greeting visitors, and general secretarial duties. The post holder will also be responsible for maintaining the Old Beaudesertian database and corresponding with alumni.
The successful candidate must possess good team-working skills, have a good level of literacy and numeracy, and be able to plan and organise themselves to prioritise tasks on a daily basis. They must have the ability to communicate effectively with members of staff, parents and alumni and have a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
