We are currently recruiting for a PA to provide dedicated secretarial and administrative support to the Director of Co-Curricular, Trip Leaders and Co-Curricular Leaders.

Reporting to the Director of Co-Curricular this is a busy and varied role. You will play a key role in supporting in the organisation of co-curricular activities across the School, in addition to supporting general administration and secretarial duties to the Director.

Ideally degree educated and with significant experience of working as a PA or Secretary for a senior manager in a similar environment, you will have impeccable attention to detail and IT skills.

Haberdashers' Boys' School is a large independent school located in the village of Elstree, Hertfordshire. Founded in 1690, the all-through school educates around 1,200 boys aged 5-18, all of whom are day pupils.

The School has a selective admissions policy, with prospective students for the senior school expected to pass entrance exams across a range of subjects. The best-performing boys are interviewed to ascertain their suitability for a place at the School. Entrance to the pre-prep and prep departments is also selective, with assessed playgroup sessions and exams used depending on the boy’s age.

Pedagogy and teacher development takes a collaborative approach which is both voluntary and open-minded.  Many teaching staff attend Learning Lunches where their peers will demonstrate new developments or ideas with which they have been experimenting.  In addition, teachers can request specific training which is often run in well attended Twilight Training sessions at the end of a school day.  The School operates an ‘open door’ approach with teachers regularly observing and learning from each other.
