We are looking for a highly competent, experienced and proactive person for the role of Personal Assistant to the Headteacher. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills are essential, as is the ability to work to strict deadlines, deal with staff, students, governors and the community, and maintain confidentiality at all times. A high level of competence in Microsoft Office and excellent ICT skills are required with knowledge of SIMS. The successful candidate must be able to work as part of a team.

Oaklands is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form situated in East London. It is a community state school as well as a NSS (National Support School] that provides support to other schools. A smaller than average secondary school, it will provide 850 places for secondary and sixth form students between the ages of 11-18, when fully subscribed.

With over 20 years’ worth of educational success, Oaklands has been a specialist school for science since 2003 and became a specialist modern foreign language school in 2008.
