Job overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and innovative Design Technology teacher with the ability to teach 3D Art and Design at GCSE. You will be self-motivated, independent and have the ability to deliver quality teaching.
This is a part-time role, we expect the role to be approximately 0.40FTE.
· Teach DT at KS3 and GCSE 3D Art and Design at KS4
· Teach students using a range of methods and active learning approaches in order to ensure that lessons are stimulating, have pace and challenge, take account of recognised good practice and include appropriate differentiation
· Plan engaging lessons and SOW in line with school project-based learning approach
· Track students’ progress in line with the school policy
· Write termly reports
· Be responsible for ordering equipment and materials needed in lessons
· Work within the school’s Health and Safety policy and safeguarding Code of Conduct to help create a safe working environment for staff, students and visitors.
· Be responsible for writing risk assessments and COSSH assessments for safe practise in the workshop
