The Role
The College is looking to appoint a qualified and highly motivated Stage 4 Music teacher, who ensures all students are provided with a challenging environment to achieve their potential with an Islamic context.
Essential Requirements
The successful applicant will be a proven educator, committed to the advancement of student learning and;
- A commitment and/or appreciation of Islamic values, morals and Faith.
- Possesses strong communication skills.
- Ability to apply the Music Syllabus within an Islamic context.
- A high work ethic and commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Ability to teach Mathematics (0.2 FTE) at a stage 4 level will be advantageous.
Applicants must have a current Working With Children Number for NSW and hold or be eligible for accreditation with NESA. Please ensure that your application include details of both your WWCC and NESA accreditation.

About Unity Grammar College
Unity Grammar College is an independent co-educational Islamic school catering to students from Kindergarten – Year 12, located in Austral, a south-western suburb of Sydney, New South Wales. The school has 60 teaching staff and 804 students with 95% of those having a language background other than English.
The college was established in 2008 and has expanded significantly in student numbers with a growing local community of parents wanting an Islamic education for their children. Located less than 5 kilometres from Unity Grammar is Malek Fahd Islamic School also catering to students from Kindergarten – Year 12, this school was founded in 1989 and has a current enrolment of over 2,000 students.

Curriculum
Unity Grammar College educates students using the Australian Curriculum within the context of Islamic values and principals. High expectations are demanded of students, who are required to achieve a mark of over 50% for all subjects, with students in Year 10 studying extension maths, English, physics and chemistry, requiring a mark of over 80% if they wish to continue these subjects in senior years. High school students are required to do a minimum of two to four hours of study each night.
