Job overview
Dunottar is an expanding school, with an ever developing sporting programme for both boys and girls. We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic and passionate coaches to work with the Director of Sport and within the Sports department. Relevant to one or more of the aforementioned sports, the successful applicants should be well qualified, motivated and willing to coach students from the ages of 11 – 18. Candidates should possess qualities to develop the playing skills of students of varied ability.
The posts will be for a fixed term contract specific to the sport in question;
Rugby = September to December 2018
Netball = January to April 2019
Cricket = April to July 2019
Depending on an applicant’s level there is the possibility to extend the role to two terms across two sports. The hours for these sessions would be midweek afternoons between 2 - 5.30pm and Saturday mornings. The school can offer in excess of 12 hours per week (this can be negotiable for the right candidate)
Potential travel to away fixtures will be required on numerous Saturday mornings throughout the term.
A candidate’s ability to coach swimming/football/lacrosse would support this application, and could lead to increased hours of agreement, over more terms.
This post is open for both qualified teachers (NQTs or those with years of experience) as well as freelance coaches.
