Part time School Music Secretary

We seek to appoint a School Music Secretary. This role will involve providing secretarial support for a busy Music Department. It will involve various administration tasks including support for the schools Visiting Music Teachers, exam co-ordination and stewarding and helping to organise the various department events.
Experience of working in a school would be advantageous, but is not a requirement. Experience in a musical setting or being able to read music or any such skill, is not a requirement. Rather, the successful candidate must have excellent secretarial skills and be familiar and competent with different Microsoft IT packages. You will need to have excellent organisation and planning skills, and the ability to work flexibly within this very busy and varied role. All secretarial staff are required to support the administrative function across the whole school as necessary. T
his role will suit someone who is able to work 20 hours per week between the hours of 9am to 1pm, Monday to Friday. There should be some flexibility during exam periods, for example, and the potential for flexibility year on year when timetables are changed.
