Pattern of hours –  3 working days each week: Mondays and Fridays plus an additional day to be mutually agreed 8.15am – 3.15pm (total 19.5 hours each week)  Term time only

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, experienced and adaptable Science Technician (with a Chemistry focus) to join our established Science Technicians team within a school judged by OFSTED as ‘Outstanding’ in all areas, a school where both student achievement and attitudes to learning are amongst the best in the region.  We are a fantastic learning community, set in one of Yorkshire’s most scenic areas, whose facilities will soon be further enhanced by the completion of a multi-million pound refurbishment and expansion project.

  Summary of post:

   preparation of apparatus, solutions, material and specimens within
     Science and Chemistry at KS5

 assist teachers in the setting up and use of equipment in the science

 prepare and distribute materials and equipment for students use in
   practical work and examinations

 maintenance of equipment
