What are we looking for?

Are you a Newly Qualified Teacher looking to take up your first teaching post or are you an experienced Computing Teacher looking for a new challenge in a new school?  This is an exciting opportunity to join the newly formed ICT/Computing and Business Department at Murray Park School.   The department seeks to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and committed teacher for our successful Department. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and excellent classroom practitioner who is committed to student success and development. The successful candidate will join a hardworking; forward thinking and supportive department at an exciting time.

Murray Park Community School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational, 11-16 foundation school. The secondary school is located on the western edge of the city of Derby and has around 1100 students on roll, with a standard admission of 280 students.  The school operates a 25 period week on a two week timetable basis.

Murray Park School is a rewarding and professionally stimulating place to work. Over the last 3 years we have undergone a journey of rapid improvement; moving from a Requires Improvement Ofsted grading to Good in September 2022, along with a Progress 8 improvement of 0.64 to 0 from the 2019 figure, as well as now being over-subscribed.
