Role requirements:

· Working 1:1 with underperforming pupils

· Working across KS2 with several age groups

· Working at least 3 days per week

· Assisting the class teacher with lessons

School information:

The senior leadership team have stated that the candidate they are looking for will have previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting. They want someone who is conscientious of the children’s mixed abilities and needs as well as a teaching assistant who is easily able to adapt the teacher’s lesson plan to those in need of extra help. This position may also involve assisting in a year 6 class with SATs, potentially on a 1:1 level or in smaller groups. 

The school are currently planning on carrying out interviews after shortlisting candidates’ CV’s, they are aiming to interview before the first week back in September.

To register with us, all candidates will be required to attend a face to face interview, hold an enhanced DBS check in Child Workforce on the Update Service and also gain references to cover the last 2 years. Please note that all teachers must hold valid QTS. For any Teaching Assistant roles you must hold an NVQ Level 2 or above, a relevant educational degree or a minimum of 3 months relevant experience within a UK school in the last 5 years.
