These are exciting times for the ICT team at The Howard Partnership Trust. We have been implementing a new ICT strategy which gives a clear direction of travel for the next five years.
To enable us to deliver an ICT service to be proud of, we are looking for an ICT Infrastructure Engineer to join our infrastructure team.
Enterprise grade technology, practices and frameworks are being introduced as we change to a shared services model with a centralised Infrastructure Team and local support teams for our schools. With two datacentres we have standardised our offering across our schools (currently nine and growing) and are embracing cloud technology, particularly Microsoft Office 365.
To be successful you will need to be resilient, enthusiastic and driven in order to help transform our service. Along with strong knowledge of current and recent versions of Windows Server (including roles such as Directory Services, Hyper-V, WSUS, Direct Access and Certificate Services), it would be beneficial to have experience of Macs, SCCM and SQL. You will need to have strong networking knowledge including Firewalls, Filtering, Wifi, switches and experience of Office 365.
Reporting to and working with the ICT Infrastructure Team Leader you will be instrumental in centralising our ICT infrastructure, migrating schools into the new single Trust domain and implementing ICT in new school builds, including a new building for our lead school with approximately 2,000 student capacity.
You may be a senior ICT Technician or Network Manager seeking to specialise within Infrastructure or an IT professional looking to work within the Education sector. While you will spend a significant amount of time in our office at Hersham, this role will require the post-holder to travel between the schools within the The Howard Partnership Trust across Surrey.
THPT can offer:
- An opportunity to be part of a dynamic and developing organisation.
- An excellent benefit package to include Cycle to Work, Sainsbury’s Loyalty Discount and access to discount schemes.
- Local Government Pension Scheme.
- Rewards and Benefits Scheme that includes Loyalty and Service Awards.
Interviews may take place prior to the closing date by mutual agreement, early applications are encouraged.
Employment is subject to a satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
The Howard Partnership Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
