The Academy of Central Bedfordshire is one of the most successful Alternative Provision Academies in the country. split over two sites (one in Houghton Regis and one in Stotfold) to accommodate vulnerable young people from across Central Bedfordshire.  We strive to find exceptional individuals to join our staff team who will be committed to enabling the young people in our care to develop their life skills and achieve academically.

We are seeking a Pastoral Manager to join the dedicated staff team at our Kingsland campus in Houghton Regis.  The successful candidate will manage delegated operational aspects of the school in relation to Attitudes, Behaviour and Attendance,  lead on and be responsible for the roll-out of the academy’s trauma informed approach, and be accountable to the SLT lead for Behaviour and Attendance. The successful candidates will also be responsible for the strategic deployment and management of a small pastoral support team and the use of a range of data sources to strategically plan for this area, in order to consistently improve social development, emotional development, attendance, behaviour and attitudes towards self, school and others at both a personal and whole school level. 

Ideally you will have experience of working with young people with additional needs in a trauma informed, attachment aware manner although all relevant skills and experience will be considered. We offer a full training programme for all staff throughout the year to help develop your skills and knowledge.
