Prestwich Arts College wishes to appoint an efficient, organised and highly motivated Pastoral Manager. In collaboration with one of our five teaching Heads of Year, the successful candidate will work with one of the year groups in our school, which each contain approximately 172 students. The ideal candidate will support students in their learning, by encouraging positive attitudes towards all aspects of school life, thus empowering our students to realise their greatness. The candidate must be able to work to tight deadlines and have the ability to be flexible and adaptable. The successful candidate will also be jointly responsible for the implementation of school policies in relation to behaviour management for their year group. The candidate must have very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage challenging situations, within a very busy environment. They must also be able to communicate effectively with the whole school community and all relevant stakeholders. The candidate will be expected to attend safeguarding meetings in respect of children in their year group. The ideal candidate will understand the need for confidentiality and discretion and be able to demonstrate very high standards of professionalism at all times.
