Part-time Pastoral Assistant (Job Share). 21 hours per week, working Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8.30am – 4pm.

Working 39 weeks per year, term time only (actual pay 44.26 weeks). 

Grade H scale 25-28 (£23,111- £25,463 per annum, pro rata).

Required for an immediate start, an enthusiastic and dynamic Pastoral Support Assistant to work alongside the existing job holder in a job share capacity.  

The successful candidate will be expected to support all members of staff particularly the head of pastoral and head of years’ with the pastoral care of students. This will include dealing with behaviour issues as and when they arise, working closely with tutors and parents to discuss ways forward depending on nature of the incident, and signposting to external agencies where appropriate. 

As a result of the growing number of emotional welfare/behaviour issues the role is supportive to all staff members but works independently using their own skills and knowledge to support students and parents to manage and improve the behaviour of students in school.
