This is a permanent role. The hours are 8.30am – 5.00pm, five days a week, term-time only, plus INSET days and a couple of Saturdays.

An exciting opportunity has opened for a dynamic Pastoral Support Assistant, to join one of Hampshire’s highest achieving schools. 

Ballard is looking to appoint a committed and talented individual who can provide support inside and outside the classroom in addressing the needs of pupils and helping to manage their behaviour and wellbeing. This role will include working with children from the ages of 4 to 11 with different needs on a one-to-one basis and in a small group setting and to contribute to the management of pupil behaviour and the health and wellbeing of pupils. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to high standards of classroom practice as well as a genuine interest in helping young children succeed. Experience of dealing with children that may demonstrate challenging behaviours. ELSA experience would be advantageous; however, training could be provided.
