Who we are looking for:
You will have a sound understanding of the autistic spectrum behavioural profile pathological demand avoidance (PDA)
You will have the ability to be able to deliver a more flexible and collaborative teaching style to the young people in our Inclusive Learning Hubs. This is a specialised educational resource catering for pupils with a PDA diagnosis or a profile more indicative of PDA
You will have a sound knowledge of the ‘evolving’ recognised good practice PDA strategies and how to implement them into individual pupils learning pathways.
As well as possessing Qualified Teacher Status, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deliver a personalised curriculum to individuals, you will have experience of or an interest in working with children with complex needs (ADHD, OCD and PDA) in addition to autism spectrum disorder.
You will be responsible for planning, implementing and delivering a personalised curriculum to a group of children, which is relevant and motivating for each child, as well as ensuring that the quality of teaching and learning is of the highest level possible and meets all statutory requirements.
You will be responsible and lead on a curriculum area. You will line manage and lead a team of teaching assistants.
