REQUIRED SEPTEMBER 2019
National Apprentice Wage (Currently £3.70/hr)
Contracted to work 30hrs/week, 52weeks/year. Working pattern 34hrs/week, term time only.
2 days per week in the PE department, 2 days per week working within the Leighton Linslade School Sports Partnership, 1 day per week undertaking training. Fixed term for 1 year.

We are looking for a PE & School Sport Apprentice who wants to make an impact to the experience of young people through PE and School Sport.
Accredited through Sporting Futures Training; an award winning, high quality team of PE professionals we can all support and guide you every step of the way.
You will be extra help during PE lessons and in the classroom where you will assist and lead extra-curricular activities and support Young Ambassadors and Sports Leaders within the School’s PE Department.
You will be supporting work within our partnership lower and middle schools, working on bespoke intervention projects, including Change 4 Life Sports Clubs, Sports Leadership and School Games Events.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people. An enhanced DBS check is required for all successful applicants.

As a successful and popular school, Vandyke was requested by Central Beds local authority to expand to accommodate additional students. This expansion programme has added a further 10 new classrooms and PE changing rooms increasing capacity to 1200 students. A further programme to provide a new Sixth Form centre and 12 new Science Labs is also planned and will bring the number on roll to 1500.
