Location:        Regional Role / Home Based – Midlands, North

Hours:       37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday

Essential:    Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle required 

We’re looking for an experienced Peripatetic Educational Psychologist to join our expanding team. You will contribute to bespoke assessment and intervention plans for our pupils with developmental trauma, autism, complex and SEMH needs. This is a wide and varied role ideal for those looking for a new challenge where you can truly have an impact on shaping a service and driving change.

About the role

Working independently within the overall framework of the service policies and procedures you will support the integration of their specific service in the day-to-day running of each provision. A key aspect of the role will be quality assuring the school and schools with accommodation on their delivery of informed interventions at a universal, targeted and specialist level to support our wider teams in meeting our people’s needs in line with set Education, Health Plans (EHCP). Due to most children and young people in OFG already have EHCP’s on placement entry, our Educational Psychologists are afforded the capacity to work without the time constraints associated with EHCN assessments.

Our Clinical Wellbeing Teams maintain nurturing environments where our pupils can flourish, always putting them at the forefront of everything they do. All our settings maintain a strong safeguarding culture, and our pupils are heard, respected and involved in decisions that affect them wherever possible.

Essential Criteria:

  • HCPC registered Educational Psychologist 
  • Experienced in working with young people with ASD, SEMH and complex needs
  • Extensive post graduate experience
  • Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the settings
  • Experience of lecturing/teaching/training
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full valid UK driving licence and access to a car
  • Skills in the management of data
