A rare vacancy has arisen for the post of Peripatetic Music Teacher with Responsibility for Brass Tuition in the Cyprus Music Service, commencing October 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter. This desirable post is based at the Music Centre attached to St. John’s School, Episkopi, and entails travelling between and teaching within the six MoD-funded schools on the island (four Primary, two Secondary).

A high standard of playing is expected; the successful candidate will be committed, enthusiastic and self-sufficient and will possess the ability to teach the full range of brass instruments to all school-age pupils. The ability to offer tuition outside the brass family is essential (preferably guitar). Good keyboard skills and attendance at afternoon/weekend Music Schools are essential and important aspects of this post. A practical knowledge of ‘Wider Opportunities’ programmes for the Primary age range would be very advantageous. A full and current driving license is essential.
