Graveney is an extremely popular and successful co-educational school situated in Tooting, South West London on a pleasant campus with excellent facilities. We are looking for a trombone/lower brass teacher to join us and take on around six hours of teaching in this vibrant and successful music department. Joining us, you will teach students from a variety of musical backgrounds including GCSE and A level students as well as enthusiastic beginners. You will teach mainly lower brass but may also be required to teach some lower ability trumpet pupils. Experience of leading small ensembles would also be useful.

To be successful, you will have:

  • a Music degree or Diploma or relevant experience;
  • a teaching qualification on an instrument (preferred);
  • experience of teaching beginner instrumentalists to Grade 8 and beyond;
  • experience of preparing students for examinations;
  • experience of leading groups/ensembles.


The current hourly rate of pay is £27.75. Candidates are welcome to apply for both posts.
