Permanent Mealtime Assistant

Permanent Mealtime Assistant, 6.25 hrs per week, 38 wks per annum

Grade A, £9.50 per hour

Start date: September 2022

We are looking to appoint a Mealtime Assistant to start in September across the Infant and Nursery School. You would be working as part of the lunchtime team to help supervise, care for, and manage the children in the playground and dining hall, and support them in their play.  You should be able to build a strong, appropriate rapport with children and demonstrate the aptitude to work as part of a successful team. 

We are looking for a caring person who can support children in their play, while maintaining the children’s safety and following the school’s behaviour guidelines.  You should be able to demonstrate good food hygiene practices and follow the school health and safety policies.   

Duties will include supervising lunchtime and supporting interactions and inclusion as well as setting up the hall, closing down and cleaning. The working hours are 11.45 am - 1.00 pm Monday - Friday term time only (38 weeks of the year).
