About the role - Physical Education Teacher

BC Academy, located in Dubai's Jumeirah district, seeks an enthusiastic, innovative and forward-thinking Physical Education practitioner to care for and educate our Key Stage 1-3 students. The ideal candidate will be an experienced teacher of Primary and Middle School Physical Education possessing QTS as well as an expert knowledge of the English National Curriculum.

We seek a teacher with wide-ranging sports and games skills and who balances excellent teaching with building positive and appropriate relationships with all students, not only those pre-disposed to success in PE. The successful candidate will also have a deep knowledge of health and safety and best practices in child protection, as well as event management - e.g. for arranging competitions, fixtures and events such as Sports Days.

About school

BC Academy was founded eleven years ago to provide multilingual education to Preschool-age children. Since then it has grown into a seven-campus establishment, with two International Schools, 5 Preschools and a new Preschool, Primary and Secondary campus opening in the heart of Dubai's Jumeirah district, opening in 2024.

We require

• Full teacher certification in home country (Bachelor of Education, PGCE, QTS or equivalent)
• A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience
• A deep knowledge of the curriculum and recent UK educational initiatives related to specialist subject
• A strong commitment to children's personal development and learning
• Capacity to support creative learning and to focus on developing 21st-century learning environments and innovation skills
• Confidence in using IT to motivate and extend student’s learning experiences
