[Ofsted Report – February 2017]
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and well qualified PE colleague to join our Leading Edge school.
The current whole school Progress 8 measure is in the top 14% nationally and our students make excellent progress across the board. As a former Specialist Sports College, there is a long history of excellence in PE and Sport. At Key Stages 4 and 5 there are a wide range of courses and competitive sport is an important element of the school’s week.
Teaching resources for PE are excellent and include a floodlit Astro; access to a six-lane athletics track; and specialist facilities at local clubs. We are a national Leadership Academy and a lead school for health and well-being. PE and games are extremely popular subjects across the school. Girls join our highly successful Sixth Form.
We wish to appoint a colleague who has the desire to work in a supportive and invigorating environment and who can join an already outstanding team of practitioners. Across the school, students benefit from our insistence on: high standards and achievement, an exceptional range of extra-curricular activities and the focus on traditional values. The school is in a period of growth and a range of new facilities is due before September 2018.
We are an over-subscribed and popular boys’ school with a mixed Sixth Form. We are situated in a tree-lined neighbourhood of the London Borough of Hounslow, a vibrant area of West London. We are close to Osterley Park, a short hop from central London by tube or rail, and have easy access to the M3, M4 and Heathrow Airport.
Amongst other benefits, we offer:
· Dynamic, innovative and supportive colleagues with “outstanding” student behaviour
· A full and bespoke induction programme
· On-going professional development with an individual CPD allowance
· State of the art touchscreen classroom technology and a laptop
· The opportunity to work with a range of leading external partnerships
· A chef-led canteen service
· Access to schemes such as: childcare vouchers; cycle to work and free flu jabs.
