The British International School of Stavanger Gausel is a World International Baccalaureate School. We are currently recruiting for a talented and inspirational Physical Health Education Teacher for the Secondary (MYP) department starting from 01 August 2020.
You will be working as part of a highly motivated and collaborative team to offer a balanced curriculum that promotes the acquisition of key skills and behaviours through inquiry-based learning. We work hard to create a very special learning experience for our students by employing inspirational teachers who respect every child and believe that whatever background or prior learning the child has, every child has the capacity to excel.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR
A professional who:
Holds an appropriate teaching qualification which is recognised in Norway
Has relevant experience of teaching PHE to post 11 aged students
Is a good communicator
Energetic and positive
Organised and passionate about installing a positive attitude in health and fitness in young people.
Can differentiate
Has a knowledge of the IB curriculum
Has excellent English speaking and writing skills
Is enthusiastic and flexible and enjoys working outside.
Also desirable:
Holds an MYP certificate in PHE
Is familiar with inquiry driven teaching
Has had experience coaching sporting activities
Holds a certificate in swimming/lifeguarding
A wide range of knowledge about different sports or drive to learn new sports
Have good ICT skills and knowledge of ManageBac
