Ardingly College is seeking to appoint a Physics Technician to support the Physics and Science Department on a full-time basis from January 2019.
The role involves assisting the Physics Department in supporting the teaching and learning within the department by the management of the laboratory and the development of other resources. The Physics Technician will also be required to support pupils in assisting with practical work.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of practical Physics and experience of setting up practical experiments, a head for problem solving and the ability to think laterally. Extensive knowledge of experimental processes and superb timekeeping and organisation skills are also essential.
This role would suit experienced Physics Technicians.
The role is full-time and the hours of work are 42.5 hours per week, working for 35 weeks per year (term-time plus one additional week). The full-time salary is £22,973.98 per annum, inclusive of 4.2 weeks’ paid holiday.
