During Worth Term time – working a rotating shift pattern - Mon – Fri shifts between the hours of 0700 – 1800 – with 1 in 5 Saturday working 0800 – 1300.

During Worth School Holidays – Mon – Fri – 0700 - 1500

We are seeking to appoint a Porter to join our team based at Worth School. The role involves working as part of a team, to be responsible for the wide-ranging general porter duties, cleaning duties across all school sites, setting up school events, ensuring a clean, safe and secure environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

As a Porter, your responsibilities would include:

  • Setting up function rooms, community and outdoor areas for various events
  • Day-to-day management of refuse and recycling across the site
  • Domestic repairs, e.g., changing lamps, hanging curtains, refit loose fittings
  • General cleanliness of internal and external areas, including cleaning of spillages
  • Collection and delivery of site laundry
  • First point of contact out of hours
  • Monitor the day-to-day safe operation of the car park
  • Being the ‘eyes and ears’ on the ground
