Job overview

Moordown St John's CE Primary School is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to lead our Nurture Group.  The post is  initially offered as a fixed term contract from 29 October 2018 - 31 August 2019.  The successful applicant will work 10 hours per week (afternoons).  From time-to-time, he/she may be required to undertake TA duties supporting teaching and learning across the primary age range.    

We are looking for a self-motivated and committed person to work alongside talented staff and contribute to the ethos of this friendly and popular school.      

The successful applicant will have a proven track record of working with children with social, emotional, behavioural difficulties and Special Educational Needs and: 

*  be able to plan and deliver creative, enriching nurture group opportunities 

*  use a nurturing approach to promote and reinforce pupil self esteem 

*  use a range of strategies to promote a purposeful learning environment 

*  support and promote an excellent spiritual and reflective learning ethos

 *  be committed to his/her own professional development and participate fully in the life of the school and community.
