Primary Deputy Head Teacher 

Seva School is a faith based free school, with a Sikh ethos, in northern Coventry. The school is in the process of expanding to its full capacity of an all-through school catering for children from 4 years old to 16 years old. 

We are now seeking to appoint a Primary Deputy Head to join a small but very efficient and committed senior leadership team of Headteacher and Deputy Head Secondary.  In the Primary department recent middle leadership appointments have been made of a KS1 and KS2 leader.  We are currently a two form entry size but this too will be expanding year on year and we will be four forms of entry as we reach our full capacity. 

The school is currently subject to monitoring visits by HMI having been placed in Special Measures in the autumn term 2016. Our monitoring visits have been positive and we are moving forward confidently.  We are looking for a new senior leader to join us on our exciting journey. 

The Primary Deputy Head will be responsible to the Headteacher for all aspects of the work of Reception and Years 1 to 6 and more specifically: Be an active member of the senior leadership team which is taking the school through the monitoring phase to bring it out of Special Measures and move it towards a more positive and brighter future. Prepare evidence for the monitoring visits. Monitor and improve all aspects of teaching and learning to help raise achievement for all groups of pupils. Monitor and improve planning with close reference to clear curriculum expectations for all pupils. Improve the learning environment throughout Primary to make an exciting and stimulating learning experience a reality for all pupils.
