About the role
The British International School of Kuala Lumpur seeks a creative, forward-thinking and dedicated Primary Drama Teacher to create the very best learning experiences for our fabulous Primary-aged children. Whilst the main share of the role is to teach Primary Drama, there are a small number of Key Stage 3 Drama hours also required and there may be some opportunities to also teach dance.

As a Primary Drama Teacher you will have experience of teaching drama to a high standard, preferably at a Primary or Middle School level. Successful candidates will be part of a school that is genuinely committed to furthering our children’s experience through our collaboration with The Juilliard School. We have a fully equipped Primary drama studio and a theatre for performance capable of holding 650 people.

Previous university placements include Oxford University, St. Andrew’s University, University College London, London School of Economics, King’s College London, Imperial College, Durham University, and University of Edinburgh.
You will possess a university degree, a recognised teaching qualification and at least three years of teaching experience. You must also be able to meet the visa-related requirements for Malaysia including (valid passport, Bachelor’s degree, updated CV, passport size picture, marital status). Applicants must be prepared to undergo stringent child protection screening, including references and checks with past employers, and an enhanced DBS.
