Job overview

Outwood Grange Academies Trust seeks applicants to join a growing Primary ICT Support team.

The role will be based within our primary academies. Outwood Primary Academies place children at the centre of everything they do, with a focus on creating a culture of success, a positive climate for learning, and increased student attainment, achievement, social and emotional development.

Starting in September 2020, we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and flexible ICT support specialist. The role requires a high level of independent working as the successful applicant will take responsibility for the day-to-day maintenance of the ICT infrastructure across the primary academies. Line management will be undertaken by the Director of Technology and support available from the Lead Primary Technician and the Trust’s wider ICT team.

The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of general hardware and software as well as being highly organised and having excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. The ability to work on own initiative as well as part of team is essential and experience of working in an ICT support role or similar would be an advantage.

In line with the Government’s announcement, our academies are closed until further notice. However, we are still busily planning ahead for the forthcoming academic year and are excited about welcoming new recruits to come and join us. In place of academy based interviews, we have set up systems to ensure that alternative options are still available via skype/video conferencing wherever possible. Every effort will be made to try and accommodate any specific requirements so that no-one is at a disadvantage.

Understandably, visits to the school are not possible at present, however we are really keen to ensure that you have as much information to proceed with your application as possible, so if you would like a conversation about either the academies or the position please email Stuart Jones, s.jones@outwood.com and he will be happy to assist.

Closing date: Midday on 17 July 2020.

Interview date: 24 July 2020.

We reserve the right to close advertisements early. Advertisements will therefore close at 12noon, either on the advertised closing date, or the day the decision has been taken to close the advertisement early.

Please note that there is currently a job evaluation exercise being undertaken across the Trust. The salary advertised for this post is therefore subject to job evaluation and may change.

The Outwood Grange Academies Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All appointments will be subject to a satisfactory DBS check.

About The Outwood Grange Academies Trust (OGAT)

Interim Chief Executive Officer: Lee Wilson

The Outwood Grange Academies Trust was born out of the success of Outwood Grange: a large school with 2,200 students, which has achieved record results for the last decade.

As one of the highest performing Family of Schools in the North of England, we have transformed education and outcomes across a network of 40 primary and secondary academies. Working closely together and sharing best practice, our schools do whatever it takes to ensure that every child, irrespective of starting point, can realise his or her full potential and unique talents.

Whether you’re joining us as a support staff member, an ECT, in a leadership position, and everything in between, we will invest in you and your development throughout your career.

By all working together, supporting and motivating each other, we believe we can raise current standards, and transform the lives of our students. If, as a Trust, we support you to help you reach your potential, we can help ensure all the children you teach will also reach theirs.

Please note that you are wholly responsible for fact checking in respect of the information provided by schools. Please also check for the latest visa and work permit requirements that may apply.
