We are looking to appoint an experienced and fully qualified Primary KS2 Class Teacher for a maternity cover from 17 April 2023. We have motivated students and hard-working collegiate staff. We understand that every student requires more than academic skills to succeed, and we believe in cultivating academic excellence through holistic education.

About St Julian's School 

We are a highly successful, non-selective 3-18 British international school with a reputation for academic excellence, founded in 1932. We currently have just over 1,200 students from over 50 different nationalities. The School has three sections: Primary, Secondary and Portuguese. There are just over 450 students in the Primary Section.

At St Julian's, we believe in holistic education and expect our teachers to make an active contribution to the pastoral and extra-curricular life of the school.

We have been accredited by CIS (Council of International Schools) and NEASC (New England Association of Schools and Colleges) since 1998, we are an Accredited Member of COBIS and our Head of School is an International Member of HMC (Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference). 

We value skills-based learning along with meeting the rigorous requirements of the National Curriculum for England, International GCSEs and IB Diploma Programme. St Julian's provides a 1:1 iPad programme for students in KS3 and all students bring their own laptops in KS4 and 5. We use Google Apps for Education as a learning platform. All teaching staff work with Macbooks.

From Nursery (age 3+) to Year 11 (age 16+) St. Julian’s broadly follows the National Curriculum for England. The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) embraces the two years of Nursery and Reception, ages three to five. Thereafter students progress through the Key Stages of the curriculum.

The Secondary section strives to nurture in each student a sense of self-confidence and happiness; students are encouraged to speak up for themselves and relationships between teachers and students are very positive, engaging and stimulating. At the end of Key Stage 4, students take a series of public examinations (GCSE and IGCSEs).

After age 16, St. Julian’s prepares students for university by offering courses leading to the International Baccalaureate Diploma. St. Julian’s consistently achieves strong results. This success can be attributed to factors such as the strength, talent and hard work of our students, and the immense dedication and care of our teachers.
