Primary PE Teacher - International School of The Hague

We currently have a vacancy for a Primary PE Teacher:

• Part time : 0.6 FTE 
• Contract Starting Date: 01/08/2024

The position is based on the Dutch collective labour agreement (CAO PO) for primary education, scale LB. Placement and scaling will depend on relevant background and experience. The maximum step in scale LB is 12 and this is gross EUR 4.573, per month based on a full time equivalent. The contract offered to the successful applicant will be initially for one school year with the possibility of an extension.

Essential Requirements: 

• A teaching degree: Bachelor in Primary Education or PGCE plus Qualified Teacher Status
• Ability and experience to teach PE across the full primary age range
• Experience with or knowledge of the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) or PYP would be helpful
• Ability to speak and write in English at a native level or near native level
• A positive, kind disposition and someone who is philosophically aligned with our Guiding Statements
• An ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers and parents.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs and abilities.
• Enthusiasm for promoting students’ critical thinking, creativity and problem solving skills through PE and other outdoor activities.

We offer:

• a holiday allowance of 8% of the gross annual salary (paid in May every year)
• an end-of-year allowance: 8,33% of the gross annual salary (paid in December every year)
• end of scale payment: €1591,09 (paid in August every year) if applicable

All amounts mentioned above are gross based on 1.0 FTE and calculated pro rata.
