The Kuala Lumpur Alice Smith School (KLASS) is fully accredited as a British School Overseas by the Department for Education in London, receiving an ‘Outstanding’ grade in its last inspection. Our school has an established reputation for excellence, and as a not-for-profit educational foundation, all resources are focused on the development and well-being of students. Located on two sites in Kuala Lumpur with excellent facilities, it has a total student population of approximately 1,600 and caters for the full age range from 3 to 18 years.

We are seeking to recruit a full-time Primary School Counsellor. The School Counselling model at Alice Smith is primarily a therapeutic one-to-one service catering to the social-emotional needs of our students and families, working as an integral part of the Pastoral System within the School. Applicants are expected to be responsive and adaptable with excellent interpersonal skills. Current knowledge and up to date training in the counselling field are essential. Please note that we will only accept applications from candidates who hold a relevant Master’s Degree. In addition, it would be expected that candidates would be accredited or working towards accreditation with the BACP.
