The Lycée Français Charles De Gaulle, London, is looking for a Full Time Qualified Primary Teacher (English first language speaker) for September 2019 to be a specialist English teacher in the French section at Wix Primary School, one of the Lycée’s four primary schools (Lycee Francais Wix School – Wix’s Lane – London, SW4 0AJ).

The successful candidate would teach all aspects of English Language and Literature as well as some other subjects taken from the French Curriculum in English, in mixed-ability classes ranging from Reception to Year 6.

Candidates should be highly creative, dynamic, energetic and interested in working with our dedicated team of French and English teachers and our motivated young pupils. 

Pupils learn to read in English from midway through Year 2, meaning the teacher must be willing to learn how our specialised English Programme has been adapted from the English National Curriculum to accommodate the fact that pupils are learning two languages.

A good working knowledge of French to understand the content of staff meetings and email communication is required.
