As part of our continued growth, we have a number of opportunities for Primary and Secondary teachers to join our school. 

Nexus School is an ambitious school for children and young people aged 2-19 with profound, severe and complex needs, many of whom have a diagnosis of autism.

In September 2017, we moved into an amazing state of the art multi-million pound purpose built school, complete with woodland walk and life skills house based in South Tonbridge. 

Nexus invests in employing the best staff and in training them to achieve. We strive to engage staff who are self-motivated, professional and ambitious.

We are members of KASS (Kent Association of Special Schools) which comprises of 24 special schools across Kent and are also part of the Collaborative Learning Alliance of Special Schools (CLASS) Multi-teaching School Alliance.

We are looking for exceptional people to join our team who are able to demonstrate belief in our school culture and ethos; have a passion for working with children and young people with special needs as well as creativity and energy.

Joining our team, you will be responsible for providing high quality teaching across a range of subjects, to ensure the effective delivery of the school’s curriculum. Our teachers are encouraged to take a creative approach, seeking ways to positively engage with and motivate pupils through lessons that promote learning and raise levels of attainment.

You will be motivated by your belief that every child can achieve and reach their potential.  The ideal candidate will be resilient, have a calm and engaging demeanour and most importantly enjoy working with children. 

We are looking to appoint exceptional Primary & Secondary class teacher's with:

  • a passion for teaching and learning;
  • the ability to work independently and as a key motivator and inspirational leader for the class team;
  • a commitment to multi-agency working and
  • are able to demonstrate belief in our school culture and ethos and
  • are flexible, creative, enthusiastic and energetic.

Whilst previous experience of working in within a SEN environment would be desirable, excellent teaching skills and the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important.
