Primary School Teacher/s - Years P-6 Classroom and Distance Education

Seeking one full time or two part-time primary classroom teachers  (job-share arrangement) for our single room class of P-6 (10 students)  If job sharing, one teacher will be responsible for planning grades Prep-2. The other teacher will be responsible for planning grades 3-6.   ISQ has given approval to the College for planning to be based on the ACARA Achievement Standards, not Content Descriptors.  English, Maths, Science, and Humanities resources are already mapped to ACARA. Support in implementing the programme will be provided by a full-time Teacher Aide. Teachers are responsible for reporting on the grades they plan.   Class size does not exceed 25 (across Classroom and Distance Education) . Approximately half of these students are completing the programme off campus, under the supervision of a tutor.

John Hattie’s Visible Learning pedagogical framework is the nominated framework for students. Innovative methods of delivery are required for implementation of Blended Learning, especially for students studying off campus. The College is heavily invested in Google Education. Professional Development is provided on curriculum delivery using these tools. The College has a strong Catholic Identity so all applicants must assent to the Catholic Church’s teachings and provide a witness to this teaching in their words and actions on campus and off campus.

Angelorum College is a Catholic version of a Christian school.  Angelorum College is a small, faithful inner city school of approximately 35 students from Prep-10, less than 5 minutes walk from an inner city train station.   Our school offers high quality Catholic education positioned within the liturgical cycle.   There is a culture of innovation and creativity to serve the New Evangelisation.   All staff, students, and parents attend Mass at least weekly and are advocates for their Catholic faith.   Religious regularly visit students on campus.   We engage in charitable works, especially those that uphold the dignity of human life.   At its core, the College seeks to serve Jesus Christ in holiness.
