Northbury Primary stresses the all-round development of pupils and helping them work to their full potential in every subject. With 96 per cent of students belonging to minority ethnic groups, the school strongly promotes acceptance, as well as spiritual and cultural development. There is also a school council, with two representatives per class attending council meetings to suggest improvements for the school.

Northbury has been awarded a number of accolades over the years, including a Primary Science Quality Mark gold award, Gold-Level Accreditation for Sustainable Travel, and a gold Healthy Schools Award.

Ofsted

“The headteacher leads a united team who are strongly focused on improving the school. With the governing body, the leadership team and staff have worked successfully to create a good primary school from the amalgamation of the infant and junior schools. Across the school, pupils make good progress. Disadvantaged pupils are now making broadly the same progress as others because their needs are being met.”
