ENGAGEMENT AND INTERACTION - SCHOOL AMBASSADOR TO INTERNAL COMMUNITY

  • Fulfill all responsibilities in your role as a class teacher to ensure good learning progress for all students.
  • Deliver and contribute to the PSHE, citizenship, and enterprise programs within your class and year group.
  • Ensure the school’s positive behavior approach is implemented in your class and throughout the school so that effective learning can take place in a supportive ethos.
  • Act as a positive role model to students.
  • Play a full part in the life of the school community, supporting its distinctive mission and ethos.


LEARNING AND TEACHING

  • Delivering high-quality learning and teaching.
  • Ensuring all students are working towards achieving the necessary progress in line with PBIS standards.
  • Providing a secure and engaging learning environment for all students.
  • Delivering learning that is appropriate to the school’s curriculum and assessment criteria.
  • Proactively ensuring that learning is taking place according to the expectations and policies of the school.
  • Ensuring students make the best progress by providing a supportive and engaging learning environment.
  • Promoting a stimulating and inspiring learning environment that ensures the engagement of all students.
  • Working as part of the staff team to achieve school objectives and school development priorities.

 

PLANNING AND PREPARATION

  • Planning and delivering high-quality learning in line with the school’s expectations and policies.
  • Contributing resources and materials to support learning and teaching across your year group and wider staff team.
  • Attending meetings and acting upon information provided.
  • Responding to day-to-day issues, constantly displaying professionalism and using initiative along with commitment to the school’s development plan.
  • Work collaboratively and share good practice with staff.

Required Skills/Abilities

PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

  • Reporting to Head of Year/Deputy Head of Primary on student performance within the curriculum area.
  • Reporting to Head of Year/Deputy Head of Primary on the impact of implemented learning and teaching strategies.
  • Continuing to develop and improve skills and knowledge of the curriculum area through attending CPD training and personal learning.
  • Providing a professional role model for students.
  • Any other duties as directed by the Head of Primary.
  • Continual development through the identification and implementation of your own Personal Development Plan. 

 

  • Qualified to degree level or above
  • Qualified Teacher Status in the chosen subject
  • Proven track record with at least two years of teaching experience
  • Demonstrable evidence of innovating and adapting curricula to engage children and enable them to perform highly
  • Excellent and appropriate relationships with young people
  • Working in partnership with parents
  • Experience of delivering a UK National Curriculum, IMYC, IGCSE, and the IB Diploma
  • Proven record of effectiveness and success
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to engage children and enable them to perform highly
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for producing reports and presentations.
  • Good cross-cultural, interpersonal, and communication skills to interact with diverse nationalities and cultures.
  • Excellent analytical skills – with the passion and drive to demonstrate and quantify success.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to consistently map efforts against identified KPIs.
  • Excellent time management skills and flexibility in dealing with multi-functional tasks.
  • You'd like to work in a purpose-led sector.

About Prague British International School, Kamýk

Prague British International School is a new school formed by the merger of the English International School Prague and the Prague British School. EISP and PBS have a long history in the city, founded in 1992 and 1995 respectively, both schools provide education for Prague's local and international community, educating children aged 2-18 years using the English National Curriculum, IB Diploma Programme and IB Careers Programme.

Located on three campuses, Vlastina (Prague 6) for EYFS to Year 9, Kamyk (Prague 4) for EYFS to Year 9 and Libus (Prague 4) for Year 10 to Year 13. Each location is a purpose-built site on the outskirts of the city centre. Each site has modern classrooms, great IT facilities, sports hall and expansive sports fields.
