Primary Teacher

We are a well-established and successful English Program of 600 primary-aged students in a famous Thai school, Assumption College Primary, in central Bangkok.

Our school will appeal to teachers who would like to teach in a friendly, supportive and professional team, while immersed in the environment of a Thai school here in Bangkok. We are a boys-only school with an over-hundred-year history. The English Program has been running since 2002.

Grade 1, 2 and 3 teachers teach English, Mathematics, Science and Health to their own homeroom class. They will also be responsible for looking after the welfare of the students in their class.

Grade 4-6 teachers specialize in teaching either English, Mathematics or Science across 2-4 classes in the same grade. They are also responsible for looking after the welfare of the students in their own homeroom class.

We use high quality textbooks from Singapore, supplemented by teacher-made activities to cover the Thai Curriculum. EP class sizes are 20 students in Grade 1 and 25 students in Grades 2-6.

We offer a salary that is competitive with many international schools in Bangkok. The successful applicants will receive a monthly salary of 83,000 Baht, end of year bonus (one month’s salary), health insurance and approximately eleven weeks paid holiday. The initial contract will be until the end of March 2020 and, subject to performance, the contract will be extended for an additional twelve months from that time.

Applicants should have an ability to inspire young children and be a positive team player. All applicants must have a degree in education or a post graduate teaching certificate (PGCE or equivalent).

The positions are available to start from Saturday 23rd March 2019, which is our Orientation Day for new teachers.
