THE ROLE

The Primary School at BIS is a collaborative, forward-thinking team consisting of highly motivated teachers who deliver the highest quality learning to our students.  Students commence their learning aged 2-3 in our EYFS and progress through to Year 6. At the end of their Primary phase of education, students transition into their Secondary education as BIS Hanoi is a through school


The ideal candidate is a forward-thinker who is committed to the students’ learning and their own continued professional development. They will have a minimum of 3 years' experience.  We are looking for practitioners who are specialists in Early Years, Key Stage 1 and 2. ​​​​​​​​​​

  • Deliver outstanding teaching and learning so that every student is challenged, makes progress, and thrives in a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Commit to knowing students well, ensuring that learning is personalised so students can take their own next step in their learning progress
  • Continually look for opportunities for innovation, trying new teaching and learning strategies in the classroom, contributing to a culture of experimentation and risk-taking
  • Promote well-being of students at all times, and proactively safeguard students according to school safeguarding policies and procedures, following them at all times.
  • Skillfully integrate learning technology into practice, selecting the most appropriate tools to enhance the learning experience

ABOUT YOU

You will be able to adapt quickly to our fast-paced international environment, you will possess a university degree, a recognised teaching qualification, and teaching experience. Committed and creative, you will be reflective on your own teaching and student outcomes, seeking out and implementing new ideas and innovative methods to raise the school’s level of achievement.


Keen to collaborate and share your specialist expertise, you will be a fitting ambassador for the school. You will communicate with confidence across diverse audiences and situations, using your expertise to build strong relationships with parents and students. You will also be able to meet visa-related restrictions for Vietnam, including a degree, PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
