Description Part-time Temporary Release From Face To Face teaching position at St Patrick's Primary School, Swansea
Position Requirements • A relevant understanding of the philosophy of Catholic education.
• A clear grasp of the Music strand of the Creative Arts K-6 syllabus and an ability to successfully implement a K-6 Music program in accordance with the Curriculum and Standards Framework.
• High quality classroom teaching skills which enable students with a diverse range of needs to achieve their potential.
• Commitment and capacity to direct a school musical every second year.
• Commitment and capacity to develop a Stage 3 teaching program that includes a ukulele program and the use of software such as GarageBand to enable students to create their own music.
Essential Criteria Applicant must
• Have capacity to work 1.5 days per week on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
• Is willing to support the school’s Catholic ethos.
• Is appropriately qualified as a four-year trained primary teacher.
• Gained ‘Accreditation To Teach’ (as per the Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead policy) or is willing to work towards this level of accreditation.
• Is accredited by NESA and can supply a membership number.
• Is accredited to work with children and can supply a Working With Children Check number.
• Will supply evidence of completion of Anaphylaxis training certificate (https://etraining.allergy.org.au/login/index.php).
• Has an understanding of the NESA requirements in relation to meeting the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
• Has well-developed communication and interpersonal skills when relating to students, parents and colleagues.
