Caulfield Grammar School is continuing an exciting period of curriculum development.  We offer a rewarding opportunity to join our Teaching and Learning Team in this permanent, full-time position at our Wheelers Hill Campus with a flexible starting date.  Following a recent IB verification visit, the Primary Years Programme (PYP) Coordinator will lead a culture of quality teaching and learning. With a depth of PYP experience, you will provide inspirational leadership and further drive the development of the IB PYP framework in compliance with the Australian Curriculum.

Duties

  • Foster trust, creativity and innovation by developing leadership in others, building teams and creating collaborative cultures
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of PYP methodology and practice
  • Maintain responsibility for the direct oversight of curriculum and assessment programmes across the junior school
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and motivation to the teaching teams to deliver a significant, challenging, engaging and relevant program
  • This position will have a 0.2 teaching load

Selection Criteria

  • Experience in the PYP desirable
  • Proven capacity to lead a team of educators
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate in the planning and implementation of the curriculum across the junior school
  • Ability to demonstrate outstanding classroom teaching practice
  • Current VIT registration or eligibility to be registered
