Richard Rose Morton Academy is part of United Learning, with a mission to bring out ‘the best in everyone’ and improve the life chances of the children and young people in their care.
As a member of our Cumbrian cluster, the academy has been transformed since joining the Group in 2014, which followed a significant period of underperformance. The academy is now securely Good, working closely with its sister academy, Richard Rose Central, which has been similarly transformed. Both schools share a Sixth Form, housed at Central Academy.
Whilst rightly proud of the achievements made, we are now looking for an experienced and inspirational leader to drive the school forwards. Located a short drive from Carlisle city centre, Morton Academy is a rapidly growing 11-16 school, with a shared sixth form located at the site of its sister academy, Central Academy, with whom it works very closely. The state-of-the-art school sits at the heart of its community and is growing into a truly exceptional school.
