Sporting roots 

Oasis Academy Arena is a new co-educational secondary school, dedicated to helping students reach their potential. Situated in South Norwood, adjacent to the Croydon Arena Athletics track, we deliver a curriculum fully utilising the surroundings and sporting roots. We also have a strong specialism in the sciences.  

Growth and development 

We currently have a total of 246 students on roll in years 7 and 8, 57% of whom are in receipt of the Pupil Premium and 15% of students are classified as DSEN. The Academy has a Designated Resource Provision for 15 students with a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder. We will grow our Academy to 900 students on roll, with post-16 provision offered through the partnership with Oasis Academy Shirley Park. 

Achieving Excellence 

We want all teaching to be enriching, engaging and challenging, and are committed to recruiting passionate, dedicated staff to help our Academy achieve GCSE pass rates to be proud of. Our ambitions for the Academy are high, therefore we are looking for a leader with the vision to help our teachers and students achieve excellence.

We do not expect you to do this alone. Not only will you be a part of a new leadership structure, you will enjoy the support and challenge of being part of a family of 48 Oasis Academies, working alongside leaders in their field and gaining access to great learning and training opportunities. 

As Principal you will also be a forward-facing community figure within the local Oasis Hub. Helping to build relationships with local leaders, you will have the opportunity to influence the lives of our young people and the extended community.

You will have a comprehensive knowledge of education policy and be passionately committed to safeguarding.
