Ambitions Academies Trust is seeking to appoint an inspirational Principal for St Aldhelm’s Academy to ensure that every day is a quality, safe, enjoyable and enriching day.

St Aldhelm's Academy is a co-educational secondary school serving the Rossmore, Parkstone, Newtown, Wallisdown and Alderney areas of Poole and Dorset.

As Principal at St Aldhelm’s Academy, you will be responsible to the Chief Education Officer for the operational leadership, internal organisation, management and control of the Academy.

 You will work with the Trust team to deliver a shared vision and school development plan to inspire and motivate pupils, staff and all members of the St Aldhelm’s community. Additionally, you will provide strong and effective leadership to ensure the direction of the academy meets its aims and targets.

Our ideal candidate will have successful experience in secondary school leadership with the ability to set high standards and evaluate data to plan and improve pupil outcomes.

You will also have demonstrable experience of making effective use of funding and other resources with strong financial planning and management skills.

Confidence, resilience and able to lead with integrity is key to the role. You will be committed to encouraging personal development and can inspire others within and beyond the school to believe in the fundamental importance and value of education in young people’s lives.

St Aldhelm's Academy is a 900 PAN-pupil school which currently has 845 students. St Aldhelm’s joined Ambitions Academy Trust in 2015 and educates boys and girls aged between 11 and 16.
