We are an over-subscribed 11-19 girls’ school in South London and part of the Manor Trust family of schools. Last summer we had our best ever exam results that placed us in the top 10% of schools in the country for student progress, this placed us 3rd in the London Borough Of Croydon. We are looking for a dynamic part-time teacher of Design & Technology who is willing to teach across all the disciplines: Product Design, Textiles; & Food at KS3 and possibly Design, Engineer and Construct at KS4 and Product Design/Resistant Materials at KS5. Suitable candidates would have the ability or aptitude to use CAD/CAM – Laser Cutter &/ 3D Printer.
Effective communication skills and a commitment to college values are essential as is the ability to engage students so as to raise their aspirations, expectations and achievement regardless of ability.
New staff follow an established induction programme while more experienced staff are able to join our middle leadership and senior leadership training programmes.Many among our teaching staff choose to enrol in our school-based MA programme. Run in conjunction with St Mary's University.
The college is a member of PiXL and also part of the Change Through Learning Teaching School Alliance, a diverse yet cohesive collaboration of schools from the local area.
