Professional school entrance tutor for HNW family (15 hours per week; £25-35k)

We are Mentor Education, a top London tuition agency who specialise in providing children with individualised teaching from experienced educators, inspiring them to unlock their potential. We take tutoring seriously and are dedicated to delivering a professional and personalised experience for all our tutors, parents, and students. 

We primarily deal with individual clients, but are also committed to outreach support, from tutoring Grenfell survivors, to assisting struggling schools with their most disadvantaged students. We are also very excited to be kicking off our online school for Afghan girls in June. 

We have a new HNW client who is looking for an experienced tutor to work with all three of her children, starting in September. The children have been in Hong Kong for 2 years, so will need some gaps filled in as they work towards their school entrance exams at 11+ and 13+. The role is full-time (15 hours a week – 3 hours a day Mon - Fri) and will be based at the client’s property in Mayfair. The prospective candidate would be paid through PAYE and eligible for holidays and benefits. It would be ideally suited to an experienced tutor who is looking for a stable contract, which would work well alongside other commitments.

The role would entail:  

• Face-to-face tuition towards the 11 plus for two children in year 5 and one child in year 3.  
• May require going on holiday with them, business class flights and hotel paid for them.

Requirements:  

• Completed degree and a strong academic background  
• Excellent knowledge of independent London school entry at 11+ and 13+  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
• Able to commit to at least one year

We can offer:  

• £25-30,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
