The Pingle Academy lies at the heart of the National Forest area and is a co-educational Academy for students aged 11-18 years. We benefit from a wide range of specialist facilities, which include extensive provision for sports, a well-equipped performing arts centre, a Learning Support Base, an Autism Resource Centre and a purpose built Sixth Form centre.   From September 2018 the Maths Faculty will be housed in a brand new 10 classroom block with its own workspace, study room for students and Apple TV available in every room.

Our aim is to work with parents, carers and families to prepare children for their adult lives in a rapidly changing world. We are a truly inclusive Academy and share the responsibility for creating a safe and pleasant place to work. We are proud of our efforts to educate and care for all of our students, which are reflected in our mission statement ‘A place for everyone: RESPECT ENGAGE SUCCEED’.  

We provide a broad and stimulating curriculum and set the highest standards of learning and behaviour. By doing so we encourage students to reach for these standards with confidence. We work to remove barriers to learning and achievement so all students can make rapid progress.   

To be considered for this role you will need to be an enthusiastic and well-qualified teacher with experience of pastoral care and accelerating progress.  The Year group you will lead will be decided dependent on experience and skills.   You will join a team of 4 other Progress Leaders.

The Pingle Academy is an 11-19 co-educational, comprehensive school, became an academy in May 2017 and joined The de Ferrers Trust. Our over subscribed academy is the academy of choice in the local area and enjoys an excellent local reputation.
