We are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager (Home-based) to join our Strategy Team. In this role, you will support a wide range of projects and initiatives across The Aurora Group, including the opening of new schools as well as business improvement opportunities.

The Aurora Group is an innovative provider of education and care for children, young people and adults with special educational needs and disabilities.

 

The Role:

It’s an exciting time to join Aurora as we are rapidly expanding our services and quickly growing in size. Your role will be to ensure the success of critical strategic projects by providing high quality project management to our Executive Team and other project members and stakeholders. The work will be varied and involve working with many different teams across the business.

You’ll be expected to maintain and monitor project plans, project schedules, budgets and expenditure, identifying key dependencies and ensuring project deadlines are met. You will also ensure project documentation is up to date and accessible to project stakeholders and be responsible for communicating project progress on a regular basis. This communication will involve setting up and running project meetings, producing tracking documents, and highlighting risks, deadlines and other issues as required.

This would be a great position for an experienced Project Manager who enjoys a wide-ranging role.

 

Experience:

Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate:

  • Previous experience as a Project Manager
  • Prince2 / APMP qualifications or similar or willingness to study
  • Project budget tracking experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent relationship management skills across a range of stakeholders at varying levels both internal and external
  • Dependable attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Teams
  • Excellent prioritisation, time management and workload management skills. Ability to cope under pressurised deadlines.
  • Ability to work across organisational and geographic boundaries in developing collaborative approaches.
  • Whilst the role is home-based, candidates will need to be willing and able to travel regularly to sites across the UK (which may occasionally require overnight stays)
