Job overview

We have a great opportunity for a qualified teacher with experience of delivering PSHE to join us in our PSHE Department. PSHE had been taught by form tutors but since September 2018 a PSHE team have been teaching Year 7-12.

You will work alongside our excellent PSHE Coordinator and provide support to ensure suitable programmes of study and resources are available to deliver the right PSHE curriculum for our students. You will be required to maintain up to date knowledge of the subject area and will be supported with access to relevant training to achieve this. We part-fund the employment of the schools’ police liaison officer and she is based on our site. She is an excellent resource for the delivery of PSHE who has brilliant local knowledge. This is quite a unique benefit that you will have as a member of the PSHE team at Slough and Eton.

Slough and Eton is a great school on the outskirts of Slough, which serves the Chalvey community. We are relentlessly focused on ensuring great teaching, learning and experiences are at the core of what we do. It is an exciting time for us and our students are a pleasure to work with.

If you are interested in finding out more, then please read the welcome letter from our Headteacher and feel free to visit the school in advance of applying.

We welcome applications from colleagues who may wish to be considered in a part-time/job share capacity and are happy to explore flexible working arrangements. About Slough and Eton CE Business and Enterprise College

Slough and Eton is a great school and I am immensely proud to have joined it as Headteacher in September 2017.  Pupils and students at Slough and Eton are expected to work extremely hard and are encouraged to achieve their very best in all that they do.  As a result of their tremendous work ethic they achieve extremely well and we are very proud of them.  We believe in educating the whole child and as such place great importance on the many cultural experiences we provide for pupils and students as well as the academic ones.

As a Church of England school we welcome pupils from all faiths, foster a culture of tolerance and understanding throughout the school and are always delighted to show visitors the fantastic things that happen here.  We have a thriving and growing Sixth Form and enjoy using excellent facilities.  If you are interested in finding out more about our school then please do come and visit us.  I would be delighted to show you around, along with some pupils and give you the opportunity to talk informally with some staff about what it is like to work at the school.

Mr Peter Collins
